Sierra's Kennel is a small, rural, canine boarding facility that dedicates itself to quality - Start to Finish.

Our services are personalized depending on the needs of the individual client - post op care - elder care - attention training - raw food programs - short or long term stays.  ( Two day minimum due to our size) Clients choose us due to the intimate atmosphere that we offer.  Our low volume allows us to offer care for special needs dogs , some of whom  require special meals/ medications/drop offs/pick ups other than regularly scheduled hours. Our hours are by appointment so that we might better serve the clients whose work schedule or travel needs might not fit into a strict 8-5 work day.  

It is our belief that both emotional & physical needs be met for our clients in order to maintain proper balance of body/mind.  We strive for that balance not only for our own dog family, but for the dog whose stay with us might be from a day to three months.  The state of the mind leads to the state of the body so attention to both is necessary for overall good health.    

I have been involved with the training/breeding of Labrador Retrievers for over 17 years. I take pride in having placed Labradors for  hunting, working companion dogs, as well as serving families who want the love of a pet for their children.  My ongoing education includes: learning techniques through physical therapy to help strengthen my performance dogs/maintain soundness as my dogs become older.  -  hunting/field trial semiars - for use in both hunting tests/field trials - obedience for both the family pet and AKC obedience/Rally O titles - related topics for the dogs health of mind/body along with nutritional training which not  only aides my performance dogs, but client's dogs who have immediate issues/older care/chronic illnesses. 

I am Bach flower trained and use both flower essences along with essential oils in my kennel.  We are a Labrador Breeder/Lab Rescue Inc. referral base, having assisted Labrador Retriever Rescue Inc. as a foster care home for over six  years. We are proud to have helped LRR Inc. transition/retrain over thirty dogs in that time.
